Mattel, known for his iconic Barbie doll and Hot Wheels cars, sells each figure for $ 20 and pledges to donate $ 15 of the proceeds to First Responders First, a fund set up to pay for personal protective equipment, such as PPE and other & # 39; essential supplies, & # 39; needed by frontline workers during the outbreak.
First Responders First will also cover the costs of accommodation, child care, food, mental health support and other resources to protect workers in the front line and their patients.
Fisher-Price also offers a five-person set version of Little People's figures complete for $ 20 that includes an employee of supermarkets.
The toy is scheduled for shipment to consumers by December 31.
