On Sunday, Donald Trump said he was going to “ take a good, hard look ” at the possibility of UFOs.
The president, appearing on Fox News on the Maria Bartiromo show, was asked about reports that the Defense Department has formed a new body to investigate “unidentified aerial phenomena” and monitor reported sightings of UFOs.
When asked if there were any UFOs, which are just unidentified flying objects, Trump replied, “ I’m going to have to check this out. ”
He continued, “I mean, I heard that. I heard this two days ago. So, I’ll check this out.
“I’ll take a good and firm look at it.”
“But I’ll tell you this. We have now created an army like we have never had before, in terms of the equipment, the equipment we have, the weapons we have ”.

A video made by a fighter pilot in 2004 was leaked in 2017 and declassified earlier this year
Last month, a former US Navy pilot opened up about his infamous alleged UFO sighting off the coast of California in 2004.
Commander David Fravor said he saw a Tic Tac-shaped object in the sky on November 10, 2004 performing extraordinary aerial maneuvers which, he said, no modern human technology was capable of.
“ It’s not like we saw it and it was gone or I saw lights in the sky and it’s gone – we watched this thing on a crystal clear day with four trained observers, ” said Fravor in an interview with a Russian-American. Lex Fridman, YouTuber and MIT researcher, September 8.
He said the phenomenon committed an “ act of war ” by blocking army radar when they tried to trace it.
When asked if he thinks the Tic Tac shape could have come from another planet, Fravor said it might be possible.
“ I don’t like getting into little green men but I don’t think we’ve developed it … I think you can hide things for a while. It’s a giant leap in technology, ”he said.
Reported UFO sightings exploded amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The National UFO Reporting Center is alerted to about 51% more strange encounters so far this year compared to the same time period in 2019.
The nonprofit has recorded 5,000 incidents for 2020, 20% of which were reported in April, at the height of the lockdown across the country and in the same month the Navy released three UFO archive videos.
Peter Davenport told The Wall Street Journal last month that he took 25 to 50 calls a day to his Harrington, Wash. Home as people described unidentified flying objects.
Former US Navy captain David Fravor along with three others reported a potential UFO sighting off the coast of California in 2004. He said of the sighting: “I didn’t hate getting into little green men but I don’t think we ‘I developed it … I think you can hide things for a while. It’s a giant leap in technology ‘

“It’s a Herculean task,” Davenport, 72, told the WSJ. “He literally took over my life.
Davenport said he had become so popular he was willing to turn off his phone’s ringer at night just to sleep.
According to a January poll by research firm Ipsos, 57% of Americans believe there is intelligent life on other planets.
The survey found that 45 percent of the country believe UFOs have visited Earth.
This is not the first time that the president has been asked about the possibility of UFOs.
In June, he was interviewed by his son, Donald Trump Jr, to mark Father’s Day, and was interviewed directly.
The couple discuss Roswell, the New Mexico city known for its proximity to arguably the most famous UFO event.
“Before you leave your post, will you let us know if there are any aliens?” Said Don Jr.
“Because that’s the only thing I really want to know. Could you open Roswell and tell us what’s really going on.
Trump replied: “ I won’t tell you what I know about it, but it’s very interesting. ”
Don Jr asked his father if he was going to reveal what he was told about alien life

Area 51 near Roswell, New Mexico has long been a source of fascination for UFO watchers
In 1947, a rancher discovered unidentifiable debris in his sheep pasture outside of Roswell.
Air Force officials said it was a crashed weather balloon, but skeptics wondered if it was in fact an alien flying saucer.
Decades later, the US military acknowledged that the debris was linked to a top secret atomic project.
Yet the UFO theory flourished.
In the past, the President has spoken with skepticism about the possibility that there is something there.
Last year Trump said he received a brief briefing on the UFO sighting, but also offered: “ People say they see UFOs. Do I believe it? Not particularly.’
